Since 2018, the University of Toledo Transplant Center has experienced a marked increase in cadaveric kidney transplant volume. It remains the only transplant center capable of providing cadaveric kidney transplants to nearly all patients on its waiting list within six months. In 2024, with cadaveric kidney supply closely aligned with patient demand, the center successfully performed transplants for all patients on its waiting list who needed cadaveric kidney transplant within 6 months.
