The University of Mississippi Medical Center has maintained a waiting list of approximately 450 patients over the past decade, with the exception of the period from 2019 to 2022, during which the waiting list rose sharply to 900 patients. The supply of cadaveric kidneys has remained steady throughout the decade, averaging around 120 transplants annually.
