The University of Minnesota Medical Center Transplant Center performs approximately 100 cadaveric kidney transplants annually and maintains a waiting list of over 900 patients. In 2024, among those removed from the waiting list, one-third received a cadaveric transplant, another third underwent transplantation with a living donor they personally identified, and the remaining third were removed due to medical deterioration while awaiting transplantation.
