Since 2021, the University of Texas Health Science Center has observed a marked increase in cadaveric kidney transplant volume. This upward trend initially led to a reduction in the transplant waiting list, which declined to approximately 450 patients. However, in subsequent years, the waiting list has gradually increased, reaching an estimated 600 patients.
