Over the past decade, Northwestern Memorial Hospital has made significant progress in reducing its transplant waiting list, decreasing from 1,400 patients in 2014 to 900 in 2024. While the volume of cadaveric transplants has increased since 2020, it has not yet fully met the growing demand. The center performs approximately 100 living donor transplants annually.
