North Austin Medical Center reduced its kidney transplant waiting list from 440 patients in 2014 to 100 in 2021. However, this decline was primarily driven by the removal of patients whose health deteriorated during extended waiting periods. By early 2025, the waiting list had increased again, reaching approximately 220 patients.
