I have been associated with the transplant team at Lahey for the last 9 months. I am still waiting for my transplant but wanted to express my gratitude for the friendly, caring and professional people that are part of the Lahey System. They are truly wonderful and I feel that I could not be in better hands.
Lahey Clinic Medical Center is a low-volume transplant center, averaging approximately 30 cadaveric kidney transplants annually over the past decade. In recent years, the center has experienced a notable increase in patient demand, with the kidney transplant waiting list doubling from 200 patients in 2021 to nearly 400 by 2025. The center’s transplant capacity remains insufficient to address the demand reflected by its waiting list.
