Baylor University Medical Center has historically maintained a kidney transplant waiting list of approximately 1,000 patients. As of early 2025, the waiting list decreased to around 800 patients. This reduction has been driven primarily by the removal of candidates due to medical deterioration while awaiting transplantation, rather than an substantial increase in transplant volume.
