Over the past decade, the waiting list at Baylor All Saints Medical Center has remained around 900 patients, while the number of cadaveric kidney transplants has averaged just 70 per year. This significant disparity between organ supply and patient demand has led approximately one-third of waitlisted patients to seek transplantation at other centers. In 2024, only 9% of patients on the waiting list received a cadaveric transplant at the center.
